Finally...

So I've finally stopped standing in my own way. For the past several years I've had more intellectual property than I can list and I've done nothing with it. I wrote a book of short stories in 2008 (well, I wrote the stories over many years, but I compiled it for publication in 2008). I've designed 3 boardgames and haven't had them printed, one of which, I know from selling mockups at conventions, would do very well on the market. I have an entire catalog of T-shirt designs that sold incredibly well back in the 2000s and I'm not doing anything with those anymore either. Not to mention the huge number of website projects I have stored away or the marketing instruction I've used to teach people how to market their businesses.

All of this media could be making me money and I haven't been able to pull the trigger on any of it in years. But last week I actually took a step out of my own way and published the book of short stories for Kindle. You can find it here: Olyanna's Dream in the Amazon Kindle store. I've also published 6 of the novellas individually for 99 cents each.

On top of that I've spent the past several weeks compiling all of the marketing tutorials into book form so I can publish them, as well; first for web designers and then for small businesses in general.

I have been working toward putting together a video for Kickstarter.com to try and raise the funding to print one of the boardgames, too. I'm hoping to have that completed by the middle of November.

If I can keep up the momentum, I could be making something out of all of my intellectual property in just a few months. I'm hoping posting updates about it will help keep me moving forward and keep me from standing in my own way again.
